Wayne Christian had five players with two hits each in an 11-6 win on Saturday over Faith Christian-Rocky Mount.
Charity Wright, Brittany Sullivan,Traci Davis, Katie Daniels and Hope Wright tallied two hits apiece for the Lady Eagles (2-0), which host Bethel Christian on March 16.
Davis picked up the win for Wayne Christian -- yielding just four hits with eight strikeouts in a complete-game effort against Faith-RM, which finished in the top four in last year's state tournament.
