K-Tribe wins again

The Kinston Indians won their fifth game in a row, slipping by the Wilmington Blue Rocks 3-1 at Grainger Stadium on Wednesday night.
Kinston starter Sean Smith (1-1) picked up his first victory of the season, giving up one run on four hits in six innings. Indians reliever Reid Santos pitched two scoreless innings and K-Tribe closer T.J. Burton picked up his second save of the year with a perfect ninth.
As a staff, K-Tribe pitchers have a combined ERA of less then 2.00. Catcher Wyatt Toregas got the scoring going in the third inning by leading off with a double. Brian Finegan would get his sixth RBI of the year, bringing home Toregas with a sacrifice fly to make it 1-0.
In the fourth inning, Brandon Pinckney celebrated his 24th birthday by delivering an RBI double, scoring Jordan Brown and making the score 2-0. Stephen Head put the icing on Pinckney's birthday cake with a solo home run in the eighth inning, sealing the 3-1 victory.
Kinston will go for the four-game sweep of Wilmington today at 7 p.m.
