Wayne off to good start at Dixie Youth tourney

CLINTON -- Wayne County got off to a solid start at the Dixie Youth state tournament with a 1-0 win over Sandhills on Saturday.
Tyler Huetter, Justin Martin and Logan Runyon combined for a one hit shutout. The trio combined for 10 strikeouts in six innings of work.
Joshua Kelly got the game-winning hit in the bottom of the sixth -- bringing home D.J. Graham. Dylan Corbett had the only other hit for Wayne County, which faced Dallas on Sunday.
