Trojans' Jacobs earns another postseason honor

MOUNT OLIVE -- Mount Olive College midfielder April Jacobs has been selected a third-team member for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar All-South Region in women's soccer.
A junior from Fayetteville, Jacobs is majoring in is majoring in psychology and has a cumulative 3.51 grade-point average. She recorded a perfect 4.00 GPA this past fall.
Just one month ago, Jacobs earned a spot on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 3 College Division women's soccer second team.
On the field, Jacobs led the nation in assists per game and her 19 assists this year are tied for the 17th-highest single-season assists total in NCAA Division II women's soccer history. Jacobs has 42 career assists, which rank among the top 25 all-time leaders in Division II women's soccer.
