Despite going scoreless in the first quarter, Spring Creek made a late run to force overtime, but came up short, falling at James Kenan on Wednesday 61-58.
Desmond Raiford led the Gators with 23 points and 16 rebounds while Josh Wright added 13 points.
The Tigers got 20 points from Jamian Smith and 10 from Alex Monk.
Princeton knocks
off Columbia
ROBERSONVILLE -- The Princeton Bulldogs picked up a win in the first round of the Roanoke Holiday Tournament, beating Columbia 58-31.
Ryan Daughtery scored 21 points to lead the Bulldogs while Josh Holmes racked up a double-double with 13 point and 10 rebounds.
Princeton, now 9-4, takes the court in the secound round of the tournament tonight at 8:30 p.m.
