North Lenoir advances in playoffs

Bryce Grady homered and two-time defending champion North Lenoir shut out Bunn 6-0 in round three of the N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 2-A baseball playoffs.
Grady also doubled in a 2-for-2 showing. Sthil Sowers, Tyler Smith, Josh Bass and John Alphin each had a hit for the Hawks.
Brandon Sutton threw a complete-game one-hitter and struck out four.
The Hawks (24-3 overall) entertain Cedar Ridge at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
