Eight run outburst dooms Snow Hill

SNOW HILL -- Snow Hill Post 94 entered the eighth inning dead-locked at 3-3 before New Bern Post 24 exploded.
New Bern pounded out eight runs in the inning to pull ahead 11-3 and go on the top Snow Hill 11-6 in their Area I East South Division contest Thursday evening at Greene Central High School.
Jerome Harrington and Matt Hardeman led New Bern with three hits and two RBI apiece.
Snow Hill got two hits from Trey Beaman.
Post 94, which has three of its last four games, fell to 8-3 overall and 1-2 against South Division foes. Snow Hill entertains Kinston Post 43 at 7 p.m. Saturday.
New Bern (6-6, 4-2 Area I South) picked up its second consecutive SouthDivision victory.
