Murray's homer lifts Post 94

SNOW HILL -- Lance Murray came through with a big hit Sunday evening.
The Snow Hill Post 94 catcher crushed a two-out, two-run homer to break a tie and eventually lead to an 11-6 victory over Pitt County Post 39. Snow Hill (9-6 overall) snapped a four-game losing streak against Area I East South Division opposition.
Robert Tyndall picked up the win in relief of starter Jordan Corbett. Tyndall threw 32/3 scoreless innings and struck out four.
Trey Beaman and Will Rhem contributed two hits apiece, while Hunter Chase finished 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Chase Hardee suffered the loss for Pitt County 39.
Snow Hill visits South Division leader New Bern today.
