SNOW HILL -- Lance Murray continued his late-season dexterity at the plate and Snow Hill Post 94 cruised to a 12-1, seven-inning decision over Area I East foe Ahoskie Post 102 on Wednesday evening.
Murray ripped a two-RBI, second-inning home run to jumpstart Post 94's offense. Bud Robertson added two hits and an RBI, while Justin Bagley provided two hits and two stolen bases.
Matt Kennedy allowed only one run in four innings to pick up the win. He allowed six hits, struck out two and walked none.
Snow Hill entertains Pitt County 160 in a key, season-ending Area I East South Division showdown on Friday. Depending on Pitt 160's outcome tonight with Wayne County Post 11, the two teams could be playing for the final spot in the Area I East Division playoffs.
Drew Sowers will pitch for Post 94.
Game time is 7 p.m.
