Capps raps key hit for Wayne County 13s

FARMVILLE -- Wesley Capps provided a pivotal two-run triple in the middle innings and Wayne County outlasted Roanoke Rapids 7-5 in their first-round, Eastern N.C. Babe Ruth 13 State tournament contest Thursday morning.
Wayne County (4-0) opposes Greenville, a 10-0 winner over Topsail, at 4 p.m. today on the Farmville Central High School diamond.
Will Winslow and Bryant Stafford pounded out two hits apiece for Wayne County. Right-hander Derek Limbaugh threw a complete-game, five-hitter.
