MOC women's fall to Lenoir-Rhyne

Lenoir-Rhyne used a pair of three-goal outbursts to defeat the Mount Olive College women's soccer team 6-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Bears broke a scoreless tie with three consecutive goals from the 32nd to 43rd minutes in the opening half. They added three additional goals in an 11-minute span in the second half.
Rebecca Lin notched a hat trick for L-R.
Goalkeeper's Ali O'Steen and Jenn Sastre recorded three saves apiece for the Trojans, who were playing their season opener.
MOC returns home Wednesday for a match against in-state rival Chowan University. Kickoff is 4 p.m. at Amon Field.
