Faith Christian's girls defeated Coastal Region 2-A foe Liberty Christian of Fayetteville 47-34 on Friday evening.
Alyssa Hill finished with a double-double 18 points and 13 rebounds. Madison Caudle added nine points and seven rebounds and Rebecca Smith had six points and five rebounds.
The Conquerors (6-2 overall, 4-1) entertain Bethel Christian on Tuesday.
Gymnastics
Eagles compete
RALEIGH -- Rosewood junior Kaitlyn Conger placed 19th overall in the all-around competition with a score of 35.70 points during a season-ending meet Friday evening.
Francesca Verceles-Zara took 29th overall with a score of 34.55.
The Eagles did not post a team score. Sophomore Sarah Conger missed the meet due to an injury.
JV sports
* Faith Christian girls 32, Liberty Christian 25 -- Christie Johnson and Elizabethe Weeks each scored eight points for Faith and Charity Spencer added six. The Conquerors improved to 5-0.
