Mount Olive College held onto its No. 1 ranking in the second NCAA Division II East Region men's basketball poll of the season.
The Trojans (16-4 overall) rebounded from a one-point road loss at fifth-ranked Pfeiffer with a pair of Conference Carolinas victories at home. They have won 11 of their last 12 games, and are 10-0 at Kornegay Arena.
After playing seven games in a 15-day stretch, Mount Olive is enjoying a week of rest. The Trojans entertain in-state rival Lees-McRae on Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
