BARCO -- Southern Wayne bolted to a nine-point advantage and never looked back during its 60-35 victory over Currituck County in the N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 3-A boys sectional playoffs.
Jon Hart led the Saints with 20 points, while Desmond Raiford contributed 10 points. Four Southern Wayne players added six points apiece.
The Saints (13-13 overall) face either Coastal champion D.H. Conley or Rockingham County in the sectional semifinals Thursday.
