No. 1 again.
Mount Olive returned atop the Collegiate Baseball Division II top 30 poll after spending last week at the No. 3 spot. The Trojans (37-4 overall) finished six points ahead of Sonoma State (Calif.) and Southern Arkansas, which are tied for No. 2.
Southern Arkansas is No. 1 in the Ping Baseball top 30 poll.
The Trojans defeated No. 14-ranked Erskine 9-2 last Friday, but Saturday's doubleheader was cancelled and will not be rescheduled. Thus, MOC clinched the No. 1 seed for next week's Conference Carolinas Tournament and at least a share of its second consecutive regular-season league championship.
Mount Olive finishes its conference slate at home this weekend against Belmont Abbey. The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday and a single game Sunday.
