ECU dumps Elon

Broc Sutton smashed two home runs and No. 28-ranked East Carolina scored nine runs in the final two innings to turn back in-state rival Elon University 12-7 on Wednesday evening.
With one out, the Pirates sent 10 consecutive batters to the plate in an eight-run, eighth-inning uprising. Brandon Henderson cranked a two-run homer and Sutton added his first collegiate home run -- a two-RBI shot -- to keep the rally going.
