Potomac pitcher Jordan Zimmerman did not allow a base runner until the fourth inning and carried a no-hitter into the sixth during a 9-4 victory over Kinston on Sunday afternoon.
John Drennen busted Zimmerman's no-hit bid with an RBI double. Brian Juhl and Adam Davis supplied RBI hits in the ninth.
The K-Tribe suffered their first, first-half Carolina League sweep in five-plus seasons. Kinston (1-5 overall) begins a three-game series today at Wilmington (Del.).
