Johnny Drennen delivered a game-winning, walk-off single in the ninth inning as Kinston rallied past Myrtle Beach 2-1 at historic Grainger Stadium.
Gorkys Hernandez belted the game's first pitch over the fence to give the Pelicans a 1-0 lead. K-Tribe starter Steven Wright permitted just one hit in a six-inning, but reliever Dan Cevette got the win.
Alex Castillo drew a bases-loaded walk to tie the game in the ninth. Drennen followed with his single, which scored pinch-runner Cirilo Cumberbatch.
