Willie Glen and three bullpen mates combined for a seven-hit shutout as Carolina blanked Jacksonville 7-0 at the Baseball Grounds on Thursday evening.
Glen, in his first start since 2004, permitted just three hits in five innings and posted four strikeouts. Matt Yourkin, Jeff Gogal and Chris Mobley combined for four innings of four-hit relief out of the bullpen.
Lorenzo Scott slugged a three-run homer and RBI triple for the Mudcats.
