Kinston turns back Salem

Jared Goedert delivered the game-winning single in the 12th inning and Kinston turned back Salem 6-5 on Tuesday evening.

Goedert's two-out, RBI hit gave the K-Tribe their second series win of the season. The Avalanche jumped ahead 5-0, but Kinston tied the contest in the seventh on Jerad Head's two-RBI double.

Four Kinston relievers held the Avalanche scoreless the final nine innings.
