Jason Denham mashed a three-run homer as Kinston upended Winston-Salem 7-5 at historic Grainger Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Nuiman Romero's RBI double and Denham's three-RBI shot capped a four-run, third-inning rally. Romero batted 2-for-4 with three RBI. Alex Castillo concluded Kinston's scoring with a solo, fourth-inning home run.
Shawn Nottingham emerged the winning pitcher.
The teams continue their series today.
