Jerad Head supplied a bases-loaded, 11th-inning hit as Kinston swept Salem 10-8 on Sunday evening.
It was the Tribe's first four-game sweep of the Avalanche since 1995.
In the 11th, Kinston loaded the bases on three consecutive one-out walks. Jared Goedert and Carlos Rivero scored on Head's base hit. Head finished the night 3-for-6 with five RBI, while Matt McBride batted 3-for-5.
Kinston reliever Neil Wagner threw three innings of no-hit relief for the win.
The K-Tribe visits division-leading Myrtle Beach today and faces future Hall of Famer Tom Glavine, who is making a rehab start for the Pelicans.
