Mudcats score 15 against Tennessee

League-leading Carolina extended its advantage to three games with a 15-11 victory over Tennessee at Smokies Park.
Gaby Sanchez homered twice and drove in six runs. Dante Brinkley contributed four hits for the Mudcats, who improved to 26-17 in second-half play.
Carolina built a 14-1 lead only to see Tennessee pull within 14-11. The Smokies got two-run homers from Nate Spears and Tyler Colvin, and a grand slam from Colvin.
The series continues today.
