North Lenoir 11, Rocky Mount 4

ROCKY MOUNT -- North Lenoir's unlikely run through the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3-A baseball playoff bracket continued Friday with an 11-4 win over Rocky Mount.

The Hawks, who represent the number four seed out of the Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference, will travel to Eastern Wayne on Tuesday for a sectional final matchup.

North Lenoir's offense did all the damage on Friday night as the Hawks pounded out 16 hits.

Brian Hardy led the way for the victors with three hits, including two home runs, and five RBI. Chastin Radford and Mikel Batts each added three hits in the win. Grayson Phillips and Spencer Bass each posted two hits.

John Delaney lasted four innings to get the mound win. Radford pitched the last three innings in relief.

Pamlico 3, North Duplin 0

BAYBORO -- North Duplin never got its offense going en route to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Pamlico on Thursday night.

Skylar McCarty and Kaley Odom each finished with one hit to lead the Rebels.

Ansley Hill suffered the loss in the pitcher's circle.
