Game called early
* Wayne North held a 6-0 lead over North Lenoir in the top of the second inning when severe thunderstorms forced the cancellation of their junior legion game on Wednesday night.
North got the game started with six runs in the first inning. Justin Lee drew a walk, Jeremy Lancaster belted a doubled and Ryan Faucette walked. The erratic pitching continued as Josh Dixon and Tyler Ware each walked with the bases loaded to force in a pair of runs.
Jake May followed with a two-run single and Wesley Stewart delivered an RBI base hit to cap the rally.
North Lenoir put the first two batters on in the second inning before lightning forced a delay and eventually a cancellation.
Due to Junior Legion league rules that state all games must be completed before July 7, the game will not be made up.
Walnut Creek Ladies
