MOUNT OLIVE -- Mount Olive raced out to a 4-0 lead, then held off a late rally by King to win its first contest of the season 4-2 Saturday afternoon at Amon Field. Aldo Del Valle, John Kwennah, Josh Woodburn and Cort Harter scored their first goals of the season to back the goalkeeping of Nick Bernsdorf and Kyle Lavender.

The Trojans (1-4 Overall, 1-1 Conference Carolinas) finally found the back of the net at the 31-minute mark when freshman Aldo Del Valle scored his first collegiate goal following a penalty 20 yards away. Less than three minutes later, Kwennah's perserverence paid off. He stole the ball from a King defender in front of the goal, then blasted the ball in for a 2-0 lead.
