Don McLoud —
former City editor

Don McLoud was the city editor of the News-Argus. He is a former county government reporter for the paper. A graduate of Wake Forest University, he left a career in the insurance industry to enter journalism. He worked as a reporter at a bi-weekly and weekly paper before joining the News-Argus. He has won writing awards from the North Carolina Press Association.

In early 2005, McLoud left the News-Argus after nine years to become managing editor of the Press and Standard, a newspaper in Walterboro, S.C.
