Jack Stephens specialized in the coverage of law enforcement and the judicial system. He is a veteran newsman with experience on newspapers in Wilmington, Kinston, Ahoskie, Raleigh and Sanford.

Mr. Stephens retired from the News-Argus in July of 2006.
