Matt Shaw, a University of North Carolina graduate, has worked for daily and weekly N.C. newspapers as both a reporter and editor. For several years he worked for the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners. He specialized in coverage of county government for the News-Argus. He has won several reporting awards from the North Carolina Press Association.
