Let the slim down begin

And the slim down begins.
For the past two-and-a-half weeks I've been eating insane amounts of food, especially beef, to prepare for the Andy's Big "A" Challenge. I started the training at 132 pounds and when I weighed myself almost immediately after the challenge I was at 144. Thankfully by Thursday afternoon that number had dropped to 139, but it's still not where I want to be.
The Goldsboro Family YMCA has agreed to help me with losing the weight and getting me back in shape. I met Thursday with wellness director Lisa Weston who set me up with personal trainer Ashleigh Wilder, an intern from ECU.
Ashleigh is like a little mouse, tiny with a high-pitched voice. I thought she was super sweet...that is, until she started giving me my numbers.
Apparently my percentage body fat is 26.7 percent. That means that over a quarter of my body is solid fat.
I don't like that at all.
My waist is 29.5 inches and my hips are 36 inches.
"What possessed you to eat like that?" Weston asked me, and now, I can't really think of a good answer.
I assured her that I will work as hard to lose the weight as I did to gain it.
"Good. Because you don't have a choice," Weston said with a crazy twinkle in her eye.
Then she threatened me with an all-spandex uniform requirement if I don't work hard. Message received.
Tonight, I officially begin my workout.
