PRINCETON — Lindsay Allison Woodard and David Brandon Kohnen were married Saturday, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m.

The Rev. Lonnie Humphrey officiated at the ceremony at Bizzell Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Woodard of Princeton. She is the granddaughter of Hazel Woodard and the late Lonnie Woodard of Princeton and the late Robert and Elizabeth Linton of Kinston.

Mr. and Mrs. David Kohnen of Goldsboro and Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Snead of Stantonsburg are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Wilma Kohnen and the late Edward Kohnen of Dudley, Mary Tingen and the late George Tingen of LaGrange and Irene Worrell and the late Albert and Hazel Snead of Goldsboro.

The bride wore a white matte satin two-piece gown with a scalloped portrait neckline accented with crystal beading. The bodice was enhanced with beaded Schiffli lace and highlighted with metallic threading. The A-line skirt was embellished with matching Schiffli lace and flowed into a Castilian rain. The gown had satin-covered buttons.

For her headpiece, she chose a crystal tiara with a waist-length veil accented with pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses.

Carrie Woodard of Princeton, sister-in-law of the bride, and Tiffany Aycock of Black Creek, friend ofthe bride were matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Hope Singleton of Goldsboro, Brooke Woodard of Princeton, Haley Kohnen of Dudley and Laura Rose of Pine Level.

David Kohnen was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Sammy Snead of Stantonsburg, Darren Woodard of Princeton, Josh Smith of Snow Hill and Michael Coor and Heath Kohnen of Goldsboro. Ushers were Rusty Winders of Goldsboro and Chris Venable of Grantham.

Kayla Woodard, niece of the bride, and Morgan Kohnen, sister of the groom, were flower girls.

Tyler Woodard, nephew of the bride, was the miniature groom.

Hope Ham of Goldsboro directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Stephanie Worrell of Goldsboro.

A program of wedding music was provided by Joel Howell, Teresa Kohnen and Charity Singleton.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in Princeton.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Faith Christian Academy. She is employed with Gambro Healthcare.

The groom graduated from Wayne Community College in 2004 with a GED. He will attend Johnston Community College for a degree in radiology.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception in the church fellowship hall.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Oct. 22 at Holt’s Lake of Smithfield.

The groom’s mother and aunts held bridal showers in September.

The groom’s stepmother and sister held bridal shower in September.

Aunts of the bride and Hope Ham held bridal showers in August.
