WILMINGTON — Jen-nifer Rebecca Smith and Jack Clifton Bissette III of Wilmington were married June 4 at 6 p.m.

The Rev. Clyde B. Smith, Dr. Michael Queen and Dr. James Everette III officiated at the ceremony at First Baptist Church.

Dr. and Mrs. Stephen B. Smith are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the Rev. Clyde and Martha Smith of Wilmington and Johnnie Mason and the late Ann Mason of Norman, Okla.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Clifton Bissette Jr. are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Clifton Bissette Sr. of Goldsboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thomas Kaleel of Clinton.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.

Sarah Keagy of Wilmington was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kathryn Borland, Katherine Coleman and Sarah Morris of Wilmington, Jessica Jones of Richmond, Va., Katherine Monaghan of Raleigh, Anna Nichols of Wilson and Elizabeth Robinson of New Bern.

Jack Clifton Bissette Jr. was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Thomas Bissette and Christopher Barnes of Wilmington, Gregory Bibee of High Point, Michael Harris of Cary, John Kempter of Chapel Hill, Phillip Mayhew of Statesville and Bradford Sneeden Jr. of New Bern.

Stephen Grant Smith, brother of the bride, was ring bearer.

Alexander Smith, brother of the bride, was candlelighter.

Jimmy Wallace directed the wedding.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jean Wachtel, organist; the Rev. Kurt Wachtel, vocalist; and Harry McLamb, trumpeter.

The couple is residing in Raleigh.

The bride is a graduate of Meredith College with a bachelor of science degree in interior design. She is employed with SAS Institute Inc.

The groom graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor of science degree in biological life sciences. He is employed with Qore Property Sciences.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at the Surf Club of Wrightsville Beach.

On June 3, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Cape Fear Country Club.
