DUDLEY — Emily Renee Hinson of Greenville and Curtis Chase Hopkins of Greenville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 11 at 7 p.m. at Brogden United Methodist Church, with pastor Shirley Ward officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jimmy and Terry Hinson of Dudley and the granddaughter of Betti Hinson and the late Donald Hinson of Dudley and Howard Hoff and the late Jenny Hoff of Goldsboro.
She is a 2003 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2008 honor graduate of East Carolina University.
The groom is the son of Larry Curtis and Melanie Hopkins of Goldsboro and the grandson of Christine Hopkins, the late Larry L. Hopkins of Goldsboro, Faye Jones Harrell and the late Gordon E. Harrell Sr. of Goldsboro.
He is a 2003 graduate of Southern Wayne High School.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an ivory, satin A-line split front gown with a gathered waist and beaded lace detail with a cathedral-length train.
Her headpiece with Swarovski crystals and ivory pearls and a two-tiered fingertip-length veil with a scalloped edge adorned with bugle beads and Swarovski crystals.
The bride carried a bouquet of white tulips accented with pearls and Swarovski crystals.
Megan Williams of Wilmington was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Brittany Craig of Grantham, Shelly Moose of Kinston and Katie Nenichka of Goldsboro.
Derek Hopkins of Goldsboro was best man.
Groomsmen were Sonny Reynolds and Bruce Averette of Greenville and T.J. Hinson of Dudley.
Beverly Harrell directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Emily Capps of Rosewood.
A program of wedding music was provided by Jeremy Owens, pianist.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Southern Wayne Country Club.
After their wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Greenville.
Events held before the wedding included a lingerie shower April 18 at CPW’s Restaurant in Greenville hosted by Megan Williams; a shower May 17 at Brogden United Methodist Church hosted by the Methodist women; a wedding shower June 14 in Goldsboro hosted by aunts of the bride; and a groom’s pool party hosted by Jim and Beverly Harrell.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner in the church fellowship hall.
