Allie Kristen Truesdale of New Bern, N.C., and William “Will” David Bunch Jr. of Goldsboro, N.C., exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 13, 2018, at 4:30 p.m. in an outdoor ceremony at Palo Alto Plantation in Maysville, N.C., with the Rev. Scott Coghill officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Don and Cindy Scott Truesdale Jr. of New Bern and the granddaughter of the late Bobby and Elsie Scott of Arapahoe and the late Don and Lynne Truesdale of New Bern.
She is a 2009 graduate of Ruth’s Chapel Christian School and a 2017 graduate of Beaufort Community College with an Associate of Science degree in nursing. She is employed at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville as a registered nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit.
The groom is the son of David and Kim Hollowell Bunch of Goldsboro and the grandson of Jean Aswell Hollowell of Goldsboro, the late Ruben A. Hollowell, Jean Bunch of Mount Olive and the late Bill Bunch.
He is a 2011 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2016 graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management with a minor in business administration. He is employed as a project engineer with Barnhill Contracting Co. in Rocky Mount.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an elegant Maggie Sottero floor-length fit-and-flare gown featuring a tulle overlay of beaded lace motifs creating an illusion bateau over sweetheart neckline, illusion cap sleeves, illusion scoop back with pearl buttons and beautiful scallop hemline.
For her headpiece, the bride wore a natural halo of greenery and white, blush and burgundy garden roses. The bride carried a hand-tied cascading bouquet of white, blush and burgundy garden roses.
Bridesmaids were Erica Hanna of Cove City, Nikki Haire of Greenville, Brandi Hagan of Cove City, Keri Gregory of Sneads Ferry, Courtney Van Der Leest of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., and Sarah Midgette of Arapahoe all friends of the bride. Honorary bridesmaid was Rachelle Rooslund of Hubert, friend of the bride.
David Bunch, father of the groom, was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Chris Best of Goldsboro, Taylor Brock of Goldsboro, Jeremy Jones of Mount Olive, Brennen Divis of Savannah, Ga., and Kyle Brandt of Baltimore, Md., all friends of the groom.
Olivia Caraway of New Bern, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Lincoln Caraway of New Bern, cousin of the bride, was the ringbearer.
Following the ceremony, the brides’ parents hosted an outdoor dinner and dance on the grounds and in the gardens of Palo Alto Plantation. The couple shared their first toast as Mr. and Mrs. with the same champagne flutes used by the groom’s parents on their wedding day.
After a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides in New Bern, N.C.
Oct. 12, the groom’s parents hosted an outdoor rehearsal dinner at Palo Alto Plantation.
Events held before the wedding included a wedding shower hosted by family and friends at Selah Christian Church in Grantham July 29, 2018; a couples’ shower/dinner at Abelina Plantation in New Bern Aug. 11 hosted by Cynthia Monroe and Stephanie Mosley, aunts of the bride; a bridal shower hosted by New Life Church in New Bern Aug. 12; a bachelorette weekend in Asheville, Aug. 17-19 hosted by the bridesmaids; and a bachelor’s weekend in Emerald Isle Aug. 17-19, 2018, hosted by the groomsmen.
