Best of Brunswick Survey opens Jan. 4

The survey can only be accessed once for voting because it is tied to voter email addresses. Roughly 50% of the voting must be completed in order for an email address to be recognized by the website. Voters cannot log in more than once to vote.

There are 95 categories, such as food, drink, entertainment and shopping, for example. A voter will type in a name, for example “Burger King,” for their favorite eatery in the burger category. If have been cast votes for a particular restaurant, subsequent voters will see that company’s name appear near the write-in area.

“Once someone has been voted for, their name becomes visible to all the other readers,” Brunswick Beacon Marketing Director Christy Williamson said.

Winners will be announced in a special section in the March 23 edition of the Brunswick Beacon.
