On Friday, May 12, the North Brunswick Kiwanis Club awarded seven $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from North Brunswick High School. The scholarship recipients and their parents were honored on May 16 at the club’s annual meeting in Blossoms Restaurant at Magnolia Greens. Award recipients were Bryan Baez, Aidan Bush, Jasmine Lopez, Jordyn Smith, Madilyn Smith, Angel Webber, and Markeece Whitley.

In addition, the club presented “Thank you” plaques and Certificates of Appreciation to the Parks and Recreation Departments of the Towns of Leland and Belville for their invaluable support and help in placing permanent Story Walk installations in Leland’s Westgate Nature Park and Belville’s Riverwalk Park. StoryWalk is an interactive outdoor activity where young children and their families stroll along a path and stop at stations to read pages from a children’s book posted along the path. Mayor Brenda Bozeman accepted the award for the Town of Leland and Mayor Mike Allen accepted the award for the Town of Belville.
