Photo courtesy of BCSOCandice Amber Diaz, 33, was found dead on Thursday, August 25, the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) announced in a Facebook post.
Diaz was first reported missing on Wednesday, August 24. The initial report stated Diaz was last seen on Friday, August 19 at approximately 7:30 p.m. near Ash Place in Calabash.
“Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit are currently conducting a death investigation. Detectives believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public,” the BCSO Facebook post said.
The BCSO has not released any additional information regarding the death investigation.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Ms. Diaz,” the BCSO Facebook post said.
