Virgil Moseley Hill, Jr., Shallotte

Virgil Moseley Hill Jr., 77 of Shallotte died Thursday April 6, 2023 at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick. Mr. Hill was born in Kinston, N.C. on May 24, 1945 and was the son of the late Virgil Moseley Hill Sr. and Ruth Ketchum Hill. He was preceded in death by his daughter in-law, Jennifer Hill, a brother in-law, Jesse Wethington and a nephew Mickey Wethington. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Mr. Hill retired from Heilig Meyers Furniture following many years in retail sales. He loved his country and was an avid N.C. Tarheel fan. He attended Calvary Baptist Church.He is survived by his wife, Gloria Hill; a son, Bryan Hill of Youngsville, N.C.; grandchildren, Hunter Hill, Maggie Hill and Allison Lewis; a sister, Velvaleigh Duncan of Shallotte; brother in-law, Robert Wethington(Becky) of Havelock, N.C., sister in-law, Patti Wethington of Deep Run, N.C.; nieces, Ahna Stallings, Leigh Ann Graham; nephews, J.
