Peter Hans, North Carolina Community College System president, right, listens as Adam Combs, Wayne Community College simulation coordinator/clinical instructor, explains the rigors of the nursing program during a recent tour of the nursing simulation lab on the college campus. Hans paid a visit to the Goldsboro campus as part of an effort to stop at all 58 institutions in the community college system. He became the ninth NCCCS president, when he was installed in May. The state’s system is the third largest in the country, educating more than 700,000 students each year. While at WCC, Hans met with college administrators and toured several areas of the campus, which included the automotive service educational program.
