Southeastern Cancer Care will have a Sips and Sounds fundraiser for Cures for the Colors Sept. 14. It will be held in the John Street parking lot. It will start at 5:30 p.m., with a band playing at 6 p.m. There will also be food at the family-friendly event. Donations will be taken at the door. Paramount Movie Night, featuring “Field of Dreams,” will take place Aug. 28 at the Paramount Theatre at 7 p.m. When Iowa farmer Ray (Kevin Costner) hears a mysterious voice one night in his cornfield, saying “If you build it, he will come,” he builds a baseball diamond on his land.
