The annual Explorer Fun Fest opened Wednesday night in the field beside First Generation Church off U.S. 70 East. Capt. Trey Ball, with the Goldsboro Police Department, said the carnival continues today from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday from 5 to 9:30 p.m., Saturday from 1 to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 9 p.m. Tickets for carnival rides are $1 apiece, with varying numbers of tickets required for each ride, or $25 per bracelet for unlimited rides. Ball said there is a coupon for $5 off bracelets on the Goldsboro Police Department's Facebook page. Parking is available in the First Generation Church parking lot.
