A chiropractor certified in acupuncture therapy recently joined the Berkeley Chiropractic Center on Central Heights Road.
Melissa Hall, a graduate of Life University Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia, is a doctor of chiropractic and is certified in acupuncture meridian therapy.
A native of Wilmington, Hall completed her undergraduate studies at East Carolina University. After graduating from Life University, she opened a practice in Cookeville, Tennessee, where she worked about 10 years.
Traditionally, she has worked with men and women from all walks of life, addressing movement and pain issues for each patient. During the last few years, her focus has been on working with veterans and their families and addressing complex health issues.
Hall said she finds the combination of chiropractic care and acupuncture as improving the quality of life for her patients.
The addition of acupuncture allows the Berkeley Chiropractic Center, at 2902 Central Heights Road, to expand its services in Goldsboro.
Acupuncture is considered a natural holistic way to heal the body, and patients seek the treatments to improve certain medical conditions.
