The Wayne County Public Library has something for everyone during June — from a summer reading program to pet care tips to a community plant exchange, and more.

Here’s what’s being offered:

• Summer Reading at the Cliffs program for youths in kindergarten through fifth grade will be held at 10:30 a.m. every Tuesday from June 22 through July 27 at Cliffs of the Neuse State Park’s large picnic shelter, sponsored by the Goldsboro Library. • Live on the Lawn will take place from noon to 2 p.m. June 23 at the Goldsboro Library. Take your lunch and lawn chairs for a live performance. Free. Information: 919-735-1824.

• Cardio drumming will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. June 10 and 17 at Steele Memorial Library in Mount Olive. Participants use drumsticks, an exercise ball and an exercise ball stand to create a fun workout. Register by calling 919-299-8105.

• Program on overcoming barriers to employment, expungement will be held at 4:30 p.m. June 11 at the Goldsboro Library. Derrick Wootson with the N.C. Works Career Center will talk about how expungements can help you overcome barriers to employment. Free. Register by calling 919-735-1824.

• Juneteenth gardening workshop will take place at 5 p.m. June 16 at the Goldsboro Library. Salina Brown with To Really Understand Thy Health (TRUTH) will talk about how to grow your own food using everyday resources, and she will talk about the history of African Americans and their prominence and influence in agriculture. • Community plant exchange will take place at 10 a.m. June 19 at the Goldsboro Library. Goldsboro is home to the first garden club in the state, and plant exchanges were a popular activity for the early garden club.
