A Pikeville man was charged with stealing an Xbox Series S, a PlayStation 4, a controller for each gaming system, and a Wi-Fi router after allegedly breaking and entering a Goldsboro home on Astor Court.
The items were reportedly stolen from a home at 108 Astor Court in the West Haven public housing neighborhood on Oct. 23, said LaToya Henry, Goldsboro public information officer.
Darrence Damien Warren, 18, of Pikeville, was charged with felonious breaking and/or entering, felony larceny after breaking and/or entering, felony possession of stolen property, conspiracy to commit breaking and/or entering, conspiracy to commit larceny after breaking and/or entering and obtain property by false pretense, Henry said.
Warren was developed as a suspect by Goldsboro police after he pawned the stolen property at a Trade-It, at 2503 E. Ash St., within hours after the items were reported missing, Henry said.
On Nov. 5, warrants were issued for Warren’s arrest and he was taken into custody by Wayne County sheriff’s deputies.
He was placed in the Wayne County jail under an $11,000 secured bond.
