A LaGrange man accused of taking pictures underneath a woman’s dress at the Walmart on North Spence Avenue turned himself in to investigators Friday.
Tyrus Jermaine Catoe, 46, of LaGrange, was charged with one count of felony secret peeping, Goldsboro police said in a news release.
The incident occurred Aug. 30 at approximately 6:30 p.m. and was observed by Walmart’s loss prevention team as the team was reviewing store footage, police said. It appeared that the woman was unaware she was being photographed.
The loss prevention team contacted police in order to identify the suspect when he returned to the store on Sept. 1, police said.
Officers contacted the suspect and identified him as Catoe. Officers also completed an incident report and forwarded it to the Goldsboro Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, which investigated the case.
A warrant was secured Thursday for Catoe’s arrest. Deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Division took Catoe to the Wayne County Magistrate’s Office where the warrant was served.
Catoe’s received a $5,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was Monday.
