A 44-year-old woman was injured after being robbed at a Goldsboro medical office Monday.
Goldsboro police received a report around 11 a.m. about a robbery that took place at Goldsboro Family Physicians, at 1108 Parkway Drive, according to a police report.
Employees told police that a juvenile, described as a Black male weighing 180 pounds, went into the business, entered a female employee’s office and stole her wallet, according to the report. In addition to the wallet, two credit cards, including a Belk charge card, as well as a debit card were taken.
When the woman confronted the juvenile, he struck her in the face.
The juvenile also pointed the gun at a witness who tried to stop him from leaving the business, said LaToya Henry, Goldsboro public information officer.
The juvenile left the business and drove off toward North Berkeley Boulevard.
The woman went to the hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, including a laceration to her face.
The investigation is ongoing.
