A La Grange man was shot in the leg and another man was pistol-whipped during a home invasion Wednesday night, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said.
According to a report, two people were at the residence in the 400 block of Racetrack Road in La Grange when three men drove onto the property at 11 p.m.
The report said two men entered the home and struck a man with a handgun, while a third man stood over a person outside the home and then shot him with a revolver in the leg.
The three men left in a red Dodge Charger, the report said.
A person at the home told officers one of the men had a revolver-type gun, and he said the men were wearing bandanas and beanie hats.
The shooting victim was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Maj. Tom Effler was unable to provide any further information on the home invasion.
