Students entering certain technical programs at Wayne Community College may be eligible for renewable scholarships.

The Foundation of Wayne Community College’s Top 12 Scholarship Program is designed to encourage students to study and go into careers in the areas of agribusiness, collision repair and refinishing, criminal justice, early childhood education, emergency management, information technology business support, mechanical engineering, medical assisting, medical laboratory technology, office administration, operations management, or risk management and insurance.

The scholarships pay for full- or part-time in-state tuition and fees while students pursue one of the designated diploma or degree programs at the college. Students may reapply each year for the scholarships, which are renewable.

Applications are being accepted at www.waynecc.edu/foundation/ and are available at the Foundation of Wayne Community College office in the Dogwood Building. There is no deadline for the applications, which will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Foundation of Wayne Community College has provided 580 scholarships, worth nearly $408,674, this year to students enrolled in WCC college credit, Workforce Continuing Education and transitional program courses. In addition to raising and disbursing funds for scholarships, it provides funding for innovative campus projects and employee recognition and offers cultural programs for the community.
