Wayne County ABC Law Enforcement Chief Joe Sadler said today that the owners of Sid's Showgirls, a strip club at 1931 N. William St., signed an agreement today that will go into effect June 30 and cancel all of the club's alcohol permits.
"We had approximately 15 ABC violations pending against them," Sadler said. "Instead of going to an ABC hearing, they've agreed to go ahead and cancel all permits, effective June 30."
Sadler said Alpha Vinson and her son, Paul Vinson, have also agreed not to apply for any new ABC Permits under their name or a corporate name for three year pursuant to the agreement they signed.
"This does not mean another person who buys it can't reopen an establishment in the same location, but Paul or Alpha will not be able to do it," Sadler said.
Sadler said this agreement will effectively shutter the doors of the establishment.
He added that a joint-investigation into the nightclub for ABC violations had been ongoing for approximately a year and a half.
Sadler said the investigation was conducted by the Goldsboro Police Department, N.C. Alcohol Law Enforcement and the Wayne County Alcoholic Beverage Commission.
