Three people were rushed to the hospital after a vehicle accident on Antioch Road Wednesday.

Ronald Colving Narron II, 56, of Bakers Chapel Road in Princeton, was traveling north on Antioch Road when he began having mechanical issues with his 2005 Jeep Wrangler, said Trooper Leroy Bunn, with the N.C. Highway Patrol.

As Narron attempted to gain control of the vehicle, one of the vehicle's struts broke, causing the Jeep to jerk and flip several times.

Tammy Taylor, 41, of Fremont, was then ejected from the vehicle. Taylor was not wearing a seat belt, Bunn said.

Taylor was taken to Wayne Regional Jetport by ambulance and flown by helicopter to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville to be treated.

Bunn said that he was told by a nurse that Taylor's injuries were non-life threatening.

Narron and a third passenger, Amy Bailey Lewis, 44, of Smithfield, were taken to Wayne UNC Health Care and also treated for non-life threatening injuries, Bunn said.

Bunn said that there will be no charges as a result of the accident, which took place at 1648 Antioch Road. Emergency responders with the Patetown Fire Department and Wayne County EMS also responded to the scene.
